Creating
your own rituals is really an easy task. While it does take time
and effort once you compose one it is simple for you to compose
the next. Each pagan you will speak with has a different view on
what is most important in a ritual or celebration. This is a very
personal thing. You must decide for yourself what you believe to
be the most important aspect for which to concentrate more of your
own personal energy. I myself believe that the energy put forth
by the practitioner is the most important aspect. The more time
and energy one puts into the ritual the more he/she will receive
back. Words, symbols, ritual practice, tools, herbs or other natural
components, and meditation are all important. But I have found that
some of my strongest results came from only using one or two of
those components, usually words and meditation. It is something
that a pagan will develop over a period of time, sort of a witch's
trial and error period. I have many books that contain sample rituals
but I tend to stay away from them and only use them as a reference
when composing my own. I have compiled a list of appropriate items
from a variety of sources that I use as a guideline for what to
include or use in each of my rituals.
This is a list I have compiled over the years. It contains items
for use in particular rituals. Keep in mind if you are going to
perform any of these rituals you should not try to alter anyone's
free will. These are just the items not actual rituals. You will
have to develop your own rituals into which you can incorporate
some or all of these items.
Friendship
- Two pink candles, pink quartz, or amethyst, pink cloth, pink
string or ribbon, vanilla incense, herbs-cinnamon and coriander.
New
Love - Two pink candles, jade, pink cloth, pink string or ribbon,
jasmine incense, herbs - to attract female - rose and lavender;
to attract male - basil and thyme. *Do not try to attract a certain
person this is just to attract new love into one's life
Marriage
(to strengthen) - 2 candles of colors to represent you and your
partner, rose quartz, pink cloth, pink string or ribbon, jasmine
incense, herbs - basil and lavender. *One must have the permission
of their partner to perform such a ritual and for the most effectiveness
should be performed as a couple. (For this kit you receive two
white candles)
Jealousy
(to release) - 2 blue candles, amethyst, blue cloth, blue string
or ribbon, lavender incense, herbs - coriander and rosemary.
To
Increase Passion - 2 red candles, red cloth and string or ribbon,
carnelian, patchouli incense, herbs- cinnamon and ginger. *One
must have the permission of their partner to perform such a ritual
and for the most effectiveness should be performed as a couple.
Good
Health (to keep it and promote it) - Two blue candles, blue cloth,
blue string or ribbon, hematite, cinnamon incense, herbs - bay
leaves and sage.
Losing
Weight - Two yellow candles, yellow cloth, yellow string or ribbon,
amethyst, rose incense, herbs - dill and fennel.
